Head Coach of Ghana’s Black Stars, C.K Akonnor has backed the move made by Ghanaian youngster, Abdul Kudus to join Ajax.
Kudus last week sealed a five-year deal with the Dutch side FC Nordsjaelland.
Prior to joining Ajax, Kudus had clubs from England and other leading footballing nations chasing his signature but the youngster settled on Ajax so he could get enough playing time and also develop into a top player.
Speaking on the move, head coach of the Black Stars, C.K Akonnor indicated that it’s the right choice the youngster had made.
“It’s a necessary move he made. It would have been wrong if he moved to England now because he needs to choose a club where he will get enough playing time”, the former Hearts of Oak tactician said.
He added, “Once he is fully matured the English teams would come chasing him so I think it’s a good he moved to Ajax where he will be playing more regularly”.
