AYAWASO WEST WUOGON VIOLENCE

Controversial Socialite, Valentina Nana Afia Agyeiwaa better known as Afia Schwarzenegger has issued a strong warning to persons who plan to cause chaos at polling centers on the day of elections.

According to Afia Schwarzenegger, anyone who attempts to disrupt the electoral processes on December 7 will be dealt with mercilessly by personnel of the security agencies.

Recalling the brutalities which characterized the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election, the controversial socialite warned that individuals intending to cause mayhem in the General Elections could be subjected to same cruel treatment.

She added that people who will fall victims to such brutalities should not run to complain to the media since their actions will be the cause of any form of brutality that will be meted out to them.

“On the 7th of December, all Ghanaians will be going to their various constituencies and polling stations to vote. If anyone try fooling at the polling station on that day, good luck on that one because the police will deal with you. Bryan Acheampong’s men will beat the hell out of you. Don’t report to the media when it gets to that point. The police will deal with you if you attempt anything silly at the polling stations. You remember what happened at Ayawaso Wuogon?” She quizzed in a video.

The Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election which was held to replace the deceased Member of Parliament for the constituency turned bloody when masked men in National Security Uniforms besieged the La Bawalashie Presby Polling Station and opened fire at a group of people believed to be members of the opposition NDC.

This led to several people reportedly sustaining various degrees of injuries with the opposition NDC which pulled out of the election accusing the governing party of being behind the brutalities.

A number of reforms have since taken place aimed at averting the occurrence of a similar incident.

However, there have been security concerns ahead of the December polls following clashes between supporters of the two leading parties in some constituencies across the country.

As a result, campaigns to ensure peace before, during and after the election have been intensified.

But in the video warning against electoral violence, Afia Schwarzenegger, who is advocating for the use of brutal force against troublemakers on the day of elections, opined that such campaigns are needless.

“Gone are the days we spent our energies preaching bout peace. No, it’s passed and died with Rawlings,” she posited.
