The 2023 Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards will be held tonight at GNAT Hall in Bolgatanga.
The event, which comes off in few hours time, will recognize and celebrate musicians and industry players whose works have been outstanding in the preceding year and have contributed to the growth of the region’s industry.
As many as 26 categories including the coveted award Artiste of the Year, New Act of the Year, HMB Most Popular Song of the Year among others are up for grabs.
CEO of Charger Limited, producers of the headline sponsor Happy Man Bitters announced few days ago juicy packages for winners of the Artiste of the Year, Blogger of the Year, Best New Act of the Year, HMB Most Popular Song of the Year and the Male Vocalist of the Year.
Dr. Emmanuel Bortey Borketey indicated that winner of the coveted award will walk home GH¢20,999 rich and benefit from brand sponsorship for a concert as well as supply of Charger Limited products for a year and the use of the brand logo.
For winner of the HMB Most Song of the Year, they will receive a cash prize of GH¢5,000 and sponsorship for a music video.
The Blogger of the Year will also be warded a cash prize of GH¢5,000, monthly data worth GH¢200 for 12 months and supply of Happy Man products.
The New Act of the Year award winner will receive GH¢500 monthly stipend for a year while that of the Male Vocalist of the Year will receive a cash prize of GH¢5,000.
Jostling for the coveted award are reigning Artiste of the Year Pandy, Rapper Nambawan, Fasetwo, Kundivi Mahama, Fresh Faya, Ayuune Sulley and Gingsen.
