The Parliamentary Candidate aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bolgatanga East Constituency of the Upper East Region, Mathew Silas Amoah, has disclosed that he is going into the 2024 election in the form of a Tsunami, one that will be unexpected.
According to him, he laughs over comments that he will get tired and lose steam ahead of the elections following his heavy spending in the constituency. Speaking on Sunday evening on Dreamz FM, Mr. Amoah explained that he is patiently waiting for the vetting and the day of his confirmation by delegates of the party to properly announce his presence.
The heavy spending by Mr. Amoah got the Member of Parliament for the area, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, to suggest to him to do so wisely because his heavy defeat in the 2024 general election is glaring.
Dr. Ayine disclosed that he is not moved by the heavy spending of Mr. Amoah who is going unopposed in the NPP primaries in the Bolga East Constituency.
In the view of Mr. Amoah, what has been considered as heavy spending is nothing compared to what lies ahead after the vetting and subsequent confirmation. He disclosed that from the month of his confirmation to the conduct of the 2024 elections, he will properly announce his presence in the constituency.
He adds that he is going to storm the constituency like a Tsunami.
“I have a wider network of people helping me so we’re coming like a Tsunami. You don’t expect and all of a sudden you hear the waves. So, if the NDC are waiting for Mathew to do something before they react then they are making a mistake. Bolga East will be very lovely.
They said I would get tired but from the month of the confirmation, if it is September or if it happens in October till December 2024, I am younger, I’m stronger, we can run 24 hours, we are ready to march them.”
He continued stating “I’m helping to fix ambulances, buying computers for students, paying school fees and you say it is not spending wisely?” He questioned.
