The National Organizer of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has assured constituency executives of the party in the Upper East Region that the party’s government will provide them and their families with opportunities.
Addressing some executives in the region, Joseph Yamin told them “we are telling you that no executive will go hungry under this government”.
He assured them the party’s big guns in Accra will front for employment and state scholarship opportunities for them and their children when the time is right.
“ Those of you that have qualifications to work in agencies, when they start employing, some of us are at your national headquarters, come to us, we will get you to be employed.”
“Your children need employment, when they start employing, come to us, we will get them employed. Your children need scholarship to go to school and further their education and become somebody in the future, when they start giving scholarship, come to us, we will get you because you deserve it. You have worked for it.”
He, however, urged them to be patient, stating that most of the appointees especially the CEOs and managing directors are yet to be clothed with the authority that will enable them hand out such opportunities.
“But wait when everything is settled. Today, nobody can give you job because the CEOs do not have power. They are all acting. unless they are confirmed, that is when they can start to recruit.”
