Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, Vice Presidential Candidate to the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has told students of both the Bolgatanga Nurses and Midwifery Training Colleges that voting for the NDC is a wise decision.
The NDC Running Mate, who is on a two-day campaign tour of the Upper East Region, urged the students to vote for the NDC since the party has over the years demonstrated consistency in the provision of infrastructure that leads to the opening up of space for many young people to be employed especially in the area of health.
Addressing the students at the conference hall of the Bolgatanga Nurses Training College, she cited the construction of the University of Ghana Medical Center as one of the many infrastructural projects the NDC has built to absorb health workers and by extension create job opportunities.
As part of her visit to the region, she paid a courtesy call on the Overload of the Bawku Traditional Area, Zugraan Asigri Abugrago Azoka II.
She will on Saturday, October 26, 2024 visit Sirigu in the Kassena Nankana West District, Zorkor in the Bongo District, and Nabdam District to end her two-day engagement of the region.
Addressing the students she indicated that NDC is a party that has shown commitment to building the capacity of the youth.
“There is one party in this country that builds the youth. Without training, where will you be going? Consider the universities, consider the schools. Which party comes to power and builds those schools and we are not joking. It is a very serious commitment because if you don’t prepare them enough, you can say you love them, but it doesn’t mean anything. It is up to the youth. You must decide what party you want to vote for but I will urge you to vote wisely and vote for the NDC,” she told the students.
