West Side Entertainment signee, Nambawan born Clement Ayamga has won the overall Artiste of the Year at the 3rd edition of the Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards held last night at GNAT Hall in Bolgatanga.
The rapper beat competition from 2020 Artiste of the Year; RockCity, rapper; Tilakou, Dancehall diva, Alaptawan and Fresh Faya among other musicians to emerge winner of the coveted award. He walked home with a cash prize of GH¢20,000 from title sponsors, Charger Limited, producers of Happy Man Bitters.
Other winners on the night include, Alaptawan who was adjudged Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year, Danni Quest, who won New Artiste of the Year as well as Album of the Year with ‘The Quest’ album and Mani Mandela who emerged as Digital Artiste of the Year with his song, ‘Glema’ adjudged the Most Popular Song of the Year.
RockCity, who won the coveted award last year, only managed to bag the Fan Army of the Year award. The Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards organized by One Love Entertainment is an award scheme that recognizes the work of musicians and the contributions of industry players towards the development of the music industry in the Upper East Region.
