Former Builsa South District Chief Executive Daniel Kwame Gariba has announced his intention to contest for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Upper East Regional Secretary position, marking a significant shift in his political ambitions.
After three unsuccessful attempts to secure the parliamentary seat in the Builsa South Constituency, Gariba has decided to redirect his focus toward serving the party at the regional level.
“I’m done with constituency elections, I’m now coming to contest for the Regional Secretary position of the NPP,” Gariba stated during a conversation with Dreamz FM’s James Nana Tsiquaye, when asked about his future political plans following his tenure as DCE under the immediate past NPP government.
Gariba emphasized that leadership is fundamentally about service, adding that he intends to leverage the leadership skills and qualities he demonstrated as DCE to strengthen the party.
He expressed his commitment to bringing his experience and knowledge to bear as the NPP works to reorganize and energize its base ahead of the 2028 general elections.
With confidence in the party’s prospects, Gariba asserted that through unity of purpose and determination, the NPP will successfully reclaim power from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2028 elections.
