Some members of the communication team of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region have disassociated themselves from allegations of financial malfeasance leveled against some regional executives of the party specifically the Regional Chairman, Anthony Anamoo and the Communication’s Director, Issah Sanusi.
In a series of radio interviews and write-ups, a former member of the communication team, Wilson Dabuo alleged that the Regional Chairman in connivance with the Director of Communication has been diverting monies and logistics meant to remunerate communicators and aid their work for the party. He narrated how monies which were supposedly donated by the president and the Vice President as well as some other stalwarts of the party for the remuneration of the communicators could not be accounted for.
This coupled with the arrogance and autocratic leadership of the regional Chairman, he claimed, has brought untold hardships on members of the communication team and left them frustrated.
But in a statement signed by 4 members of the communication team, the party’s communicators distanced themselves from the allegations against executives of the party in the region. They contended that Mr. Dabuo is not member of the communication team and therefore, cannot be said to be expressing concerns of members of the communication team.
“It has come to the attention of the communication team of the NPP in the Upper East Region that Mr. Wilson Dabou made certain wild and disdainful allegations on the 26th October 2021 on various media platforms regarding the plight of the regional communication team members.
As a communication outfit of the party, we wish to state unequivocally that the said personality is not known to us as a member and cannot be said to be speaking on our behalf. We therefore wish to collectively disassociate ourselves from such misguided comments he made against the affected individuals and invariably the New Patriotic Party,” they said.
Describing the allegations as disdainful and misguided, they stated that “The communication team is of the believe that such illusive statements as espoused by him were borne out of lack of clear understanding of the modus operandi of the party structures”.
They added “all the sources of remittance he alleged are a complete fabrication hence, should be disregarded”.
While entreating the public to disregard the claims by Mr. Dabuo, they advised the media to desist from engaging him as a member of the communication team since he is no longer a member.
“We entreat the general public to treat his allegations with utmost disdain. The communication team wsh to bring to the attention of the media houses in the region who are our stakeholders and partners in the political discourse to desist from engaging him as a member of the communication team as his views do not represent that of the communication team”.

A Disclaimer to the Allegations Levelled Against the Communication Team of the
NPP By Mr. Wilson Dabou
7th November,2021
It has come to the attention of the communication team of the NPP in the Upper East Region that Mr. We therefore wish to collectively disassociate ourselves from such misguided comments he made against the affected individuals and invariably the New Patriotic Party.
Again, it is important to state that all the sources of remittance he alleged are a complete fabrication hence, should be disregarded. The communication team is of the believe that such illusive statements as espoused by him were borne out of lack of clear understanding of the modus operandi of the party structures.
We entreat the general public to treat his allegations with utmost disdain. The communication team wsh to bring to the attention of the media houses in the region who are our stakeholders and partners in the political discourse to desist from engaging him as a member of the communication team as his views do not represent that of the communication team. Counting on your usual co-operation.
Thank you.
