Players in the entertainment industry in the Upper East Region are unhappy with beverage company, Guinness Ghana Limited for not billing artistes based in the region to perform at its Guinness Bright House concert.
The concert, which is scheduled to take place on June 5, 2022 at the Bombs Night Club in the regional capital, Bolgatanga, has singer, Fancy Gadam, who hails from the Northern Region, billed alongside dancer, Incredible Zigi to perform.
But industry players in the region have described the decision of the company to bill the singer, who is not a resident, to headline the show in the region without including a locally based musician as disrespectful.
Taking to social media mainly Facebook to express their displeasure, they argued that the region equally has great entertainers hence, the company has no justifiable reason to exclude them in its upcoming concert in Bolga.
They are, therefore, threatening to boycott the show should the company and organizers of the event fail to include, at least, one of the region’s artistes in the list billed to perform.
