The Nabdam District Chief Executive, Agnes Namoo has expressed her gratitude and joy for being appointed to her position, highlighting the growing appreciation for women in leadership roles in Ghana.

Madam Namoo, beaming with pride, emphasized that women possess all the necessary leadership qualities and are eager to showcase them when given the opportunity.

She encouraged women to step forward and demonstrate their capabilities, moving beyond traditional roles and stereotypes.

She said “We [women] should be outside, showcasing our leadership skills, and handling things in our own unique way, so that people can see that we are capable”.

“Women’s roles are not limited to taking care of children and cooking; we have so much more to offer, and we can positively impact society in countless ways.” She added.

She noted that, her appointment as a female DCE is a testament to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s commitment to empowering women in leadership positions.

She expressed her heartfelt thanks to the President for entrusting her and other female DCEs in the Upper East Region with the responsibility of serving their respective districts.
