The Chief Executive Officer of Bencyn Group, operators of Bencyn Pharmacy and Susu Enterprise, Benjamin Anyanah, says most young people seeking jobs are not diligent and hardworking.
According to him, although there are numerous employment opportunities in the private sector, many of these job seekers are chasing after the few ones in the public sector because they can not withstand pressure and strict monitoring in the private sector.
Mr. Anyanah, who spoke in an interview on State of Our Nation, emphasises many of the youth hunting jobs are dishonest and lazy.
“As I’m sitting now, I have jobs all the time. It’s only that it’s difficult to manage the human being. They don’t want to work and they are dishonest. I’m not saying all because I have good workers, but 80 percent of the people are very dishonest and they don’t want to work. They want to come and sit,” he stated.
“In the private sector, you must produce to get paid. If I don’t make profit, how can I increase salaries? But maybe, in public sector, they will go and yell and they will increase their salaries.
There are jobs in this country. I’m not a politician, I’m talking real jobs that the people can get. It’s only that we are choosy and most people want to work in public sector”.
