Inspired by the experience of a member, who needed medical care at the Upper East Regional Hospital, Terabuureyele has donated BP apparatus and thermometer guns to the regional hospital.
According to the National Chairman of Terabuureyele, Rev. Simon Apenuure Ayariga one of its members attended the hospital for care, and while at the facility, the nurses had to go to a different ward for BP apparatus and thermometer to check their vital signs.
Not enthused by that, the group decided to return with the thermometer guns and BP apparatus. This is essentially to make these basic and first aid tools available to as many wards as possible.
“Our branch outside decided that we should come and do this donation because one of our members came from abroad and needed to use this facility but the ward he was in, they didn’t have these. They had to go to the other wards to collect the BP apparatus and thermometer to check on him. We then decided that we would do something to enhance the well-being of residents.”
Rev. Apenuure Ayariga noted that his outfit has acquired land to build a cultural village, a museum, and a radio station.
“We have been able to acquire 2 plots of land at Pusu-Namoo. Very soon we will start the project. We want to build a cultural village and museum; we want to build a radio station, a guest house, and a big conference hall.” He stated.
Receiving the items, Justina Ayoribila, Deputy Nursing Officer at the Regional Hospital said that the donated items are critical in the healthcare chain.
