The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Talensi Constituency in the Upper East Region, Daniel Dung Mahama is set to empower Junior High School (JHS) pupils with free Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training.
Daniel Dung Mahama is vying for the Talensi Parliamentary seat in the upcoming 2024 general elections on the NDC ticket.
He has demonstrated his commitment to serving the people of Talensi through various social interventions, showcasing his dedication to the community’s well-being.
Partnering with an IT firm, Loozeele Resource Center, the pupils will be taken through computer basics, desktop skills, and file management.
This initiative is part of Mr. Mahama’s vision to provide quality healthcare, education, and social services to his constituents.
Since 2023, he has provided educational materials and medical and healthcare assistance to schools and health facilities in the district.
The free ICT training program aims to equip about 4,800 pupils from 47 JHS with digital literacy and 21st-century ICT skills.
This, according to the NDC Parliamentary Candidate, will prepare them for the new standardized educational curriculum.
Speaking to the media, Mr Mahama noted “my vision for Talensi Constituency is to promote progress, dignity, and opportunity for every constituent. This initiative is not the first time, and it won’t be the last time”
“I’m ready to serve my people,” he added.
