Parliamentary candidate aspirant of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Bolgatanga East Constituency, Mathew Silas Amoah wants MP for the area, Dr. Dominic Ayine to step side and hand the baton of leadership of the constituency to youngsters like him.
Silas Amoah said Dr. Ayine has done his bid as the people’s representative in Parliament and should pave way for fresh blood to takeover from him.
“My elder brother was saying he wants to send us to school to study, get a certificate so that when he is aging we come and take over from him, I think he is tired now.
He should please just allow us take it from him so that we see how best we can contribute our quota to change the face of the constituency,” he stated in an interview Dreamz FM.
He reminded the MP of a similar position he advanced when he contested against others who were older than him and thus, asked him (Dr. Ayine) to practice what he had preached.
“He was telling Abole and Rockson that they are old, they should go so that he, the younger one would continue. Now I am very young. Look travelling from Accra to Bolga, you can even get a backache. I want him to relax just enjoy and let his kid brother go through”.
Mathew Silas Amoah is the sole candidate seeking the parliamentary ticket of the NPP in the Bolgatanga East Constituency and will likely face off with Dr. Ayine in the 2024 Elections.
He has decried the deplorable state of the constituency, stating that the area has not experienced any significant development for a very long time.
He is, therefore, resolved to give the area a facelift if he is elected its MP in next year’s polls.
