Dancehall singer, Stonebwoy, is unhappy with actions rapper Sarkodie took against him after he allegedly attacked the rapper’s manager at a pre-recording session of the Black Love Virtual Concert.
Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Joy FM, the CEO of Burniton Music Group said actions the rapper took against him including reporting him to the police portrayed him as “some stupid animal” whose presence at the show was solely to create chaos when in actual fact his presence at the pre-recording session of the show was to lend support to the rapper as result of his affection for him.
Stonebwoy who sounded hurt asserted that the rapper’s action is a betrayal of friendship.
“I had a clean heart towards my brother, Sarkodie himself. I had love for this brother from time.
So it was out of love that I came out there that night but everybody saw he was the one that unfollowed me and deleted the artwork that showed that I was gonna be on the show. One thing I don’t understand is how could you (Sarkodie) wanna make it look like I’m some stupid animal who just drove from nowhere into the show to mess it up. He didn’t have to make it look that way,” he said.
While disclosing that he has fallen out with the rapper following the incident, Stonebwoy stated that “you don’t take your friend to the police. You don’t report your guy to the police for them to lock him up. You have family like I do. I wouldn’t do that to you.”
Stonebwoy reportedly attacked manager of Sarkodie, Angel Town following a misunderstanding between the two over spot for parking vehicles at a pre-recording session of the Black Love Concert which was held in August.
Sarkodie subsequently confirmed the incident expressing disappointment at his colleague musician and describing as acceptable the alleged assault on his manager. Even before Sarkodie’s confirmation, Stonebwoy apologized to the rapper and his manager.
But in his latest reaction to the incident, Stonebwoy questioned the rapper’s basis for being disappointed in him when the person he had allegedly attacked was not. He contended that the rapper has not been sincere about the facts of the incident.
“He is disappointed at what? After everything, I was chatting with Angel. Angel was cool. He might not have forgiven or gotten rid of it immediately but he knows what really happened and he was calm,” he stated.
