Minister of Defence and Member of Parliament for the Bimbila Constituency, Dominic Nitiwul has rallied the people of Zebilla in the Upper East Region to reject National Democratic Congress(NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama and Parliamentary candidate, Cletus Avoka at the 2020 elections.
Speaking at a durbar of Chiefs held in Zebilla yesterday, Mr Nitiwul questioned why the two, Mr Mahama And Cletus Avoka, are bent on returning to the Jubilee House and Parliament respectively when they have failed to perform in their already long stays in public office, serving in various capacities.
He said that the people should vote against the NDC to show their lack of interest in the nonperformance of John Mahama and the Parliamentary candidate who is seeking another term in parliament after serving over three terms.
“The former President John Mahama, what did he leave in jubilee house and he is coming back to take” He quizzed.
“ He was an assemblyman. Later he became an MP for twelve years, He became a deputy minister for four years, he became minister for four years, he became a Vice President for four years and became a President for four years. Aba! What are you looking for again?” He added.
“Unfortunately, it is the same thing for my Uncle Cletus Avoka. 1992 till now, anytime the time Avoka, Avoka, Avoka, Avoka. Abah! Why? Zebilla, Are you not tired? So this time around, make sure you retire Avoka permanently”.
Speaking on security, Mr Nitiwul said Pressure Akuffo through his good interventions has brought lasting peace to the Bawku and Kasuag areas.
He is currently touring with the President in a two day campaign tour of the Upper East region.
