Our attention has been drawn to a factual inaccuracy in a story with the headline, ‘Edward Adeti resigns from Starr FM, joins Manasseh at The Fourth Estate’, which was published on December 15, 2021 on this news portal. In the said story, it is stated that former Upper East Regional Minister, Rockson Bukari and officials of Chinese mining company, Shaanxi Mining Limited were put before a Bolgatanga Circuit Court and were subsequently exonerated from bribery allegations leveled against them by investigative journalist, Edward Adeti.
While it is a fact that officials of the mining company were exonerated from the alleged wrongdoing by the court, the former Upper East Regional Minister was never put before court and therefore, the court could not have exonerated him from the allegations.
We acknowledge this factual inaccuracy and have effected the necessary corrections to the story. We at Dreamz FM and dreamzfmonline.com have always ensured the highest standards of professionalism in our reportage and cannot and will never be a source of fake news or anything of the sort.
In addition, we do not and will never use our platforms to settle personal scores.
Our cherished audience can rest assured that we will continue to uphold dearly the ethics and standards of journalism in our quest to serve them.
