Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Special Aide to former President John Dramani Mahama has given birth to triplets.
In a picture shared on social media on Friday, June 18, 2021, Madam Joyce Mogtari is seen together with her husband; Hudu Mogtari, Former president John Mahama and former First Lady, Lordina Mahama with the former president, herself and her husband holding each of the triplets as they all dressed in white attires clearly signifying an occasion of joy.
The birth of the triplets now makes the former Deputy Minister of Transport a mother of 4 having already given birth to a boy.
Joyce Bawah Mogtari, who is a sister to former minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Otiko Afisa Djaba, is a leading member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and a lawyer. She has served in various capacity in the public space and within the NDC including being a member of the party’s legal team.
She was appointed Deputy Minister of Transport in 2013 under the Mahama’s administration and held the position until 2017 when the Akufo-Addo’s administration took over the reins of government after ousting the Mahama’s administration in the 2016 elections.
She also served as Mr. Mahama’s Spokesperson in the 2016 elections and was made the former president’s Special Aide after the elections.
