The people of Ghana’s Upper East Region have earned praise from DCOP Adofiem Raymond Ali, Regional Police Commander, for their unwavering commitment to peace.
This endorsement comes after a joint counter-terrorism training opening ceremony organized by the Ghana Police Service and its UK partners to bolster regional security capabilities.
DCOP Adofiem’s sentiments stem from his year-long tenure as commander, during which he observed the region prioritizing harmony.
“I know that the people of the Upper East region cherish peace,” he noted.
“Once you work well with them, ensuring their involvement in all you do, you can be sure of their support,” he added.
The training will take place at the Security Resilience and Peace building and Education Center (SRAPBTEC) in Nabdam District, benefiting security officers from five northern regions.
Given the region’s proximity to countries that have experienced terrorism, this program is timely and crucial, especially with Ghana’s upcoming election.
Approximately 250 officers will be trained, with community members and Assembly Members involved to foster a cooperative environment for effective security measures.
