The 2022 Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards Artiste of the Year, Pandy Bobby has called out event organisers in the region for belittling the feat he has chalked in the industry.

Pandy Bobby said organisers have not only failed to recognise him as the reigning Artiste of the Year by headlining him for shows, but also placed his photos in obscurity on flyers promoting shows he is billed to perform.

He believes he is being unfairly treated and discriminated against in the industry.

According to him, he had, for long, been side-lined by industry players even though he had great records and was doing extremely well.

But even after struggling on his own with support from only his management to rise to the top, these players are still refusing to give him due recognition, he claimed.

In his view, the industry in the region will remain stagnant if artistes, who doing well are not given their right spot in the space.

“I have been underrated in this music industry over the years until I and my management team proved them wrong by winning artists of the year and most popular song of the year at 2022 Hmb/Uema,” he stated in a post on social media.

“Because of their hypocritical mind for them not to let you enjoy your artist of the year, they will never headline you for any show, and when they bill you for a show, your name will (be) mention(ed) last and your picture will be at the corner of the flyer”.
