CHIEF MOSES APIAH, CHIEF OF BINABA SPOKE ON BEHALF OF BAWKU CHIEF

Chiefs in the Kusaug chiefdom in the Upper East Region have openly endorsed the 4more4Nana campaign mantra seeking to galvanize support for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who is seeking a second term as President.

Speaking on behalf of the Paramount Chief of the Bawku Traditional Area, Zugrana Bugrago Azoka II, at a durbar of Chiefs at Zebila in the Bawku West District as part of the president’s two day tour of the region, Chief Moses Apiah said the chiefs and people of Kusaug now have cattle, which has ensured that men are able to pay  bride price and marry many wives.

This, he said, has been made possible due to the implementation of the Free Senior High School Policy that has afforded them the opportunity to have their children get senior high school education at no cost to parents and guardians.

Naba Moses Apiah noted that parents used to sell their cattle to pay fees, describing the President’s tenure as timely and one that has brought great relief to them.

According to the chief who took time to highlight the government’s achievements including the Nation Builder’s Corps, NABCO, the President will return, adding that Kusaug Chiefs hail the Akufo-Addo administration and therefore endorse the President.

“All the people in this area, the Kusaug land have cattle to dowry our wives, have cattle for our incomes and have cattle for any other thing. We used to sell all our cattle to pay school fees. You have come at the right time to save mother Ghana. Mr. President, we thank you enormously.

And the people of Kusaug particularly the people of Bawku West will never forget of you. You will come back and you will come back and you will continue to come back. Mr. President, the Zograna has asked me to make a solemn appeal to you that by all means, you will come back again the second time and when you come back, you should not forget about Bawku West, so large that we need another district”. He said admid loud cheers.

Naba Apiah added that the Pwalugu Multipurpose Dam will bring a lot of benefits to the people while still stressing that the wish of the people is for him to return.

“The Zograna said I should let you know that the Pwalugu Multipurpose Dam will give us a lot of benefits and hardship but being a listening president, start thinking about health infrastructure. The people who have gathered here today are listening to their chiefs, they’re listening to the good people of Kusaug and we say that we hail you. We wish you to come back, it is our prayer and may the Lord God bless you and may the father’s of our ancestors here bless you and let you go free and then we will make sure we vote massively for you and vote massively for Adongo, the MP who is standing here that he will continue with you and we see more projects. Four more for Nana, we the Chiefs are talking”. He stressed in a rather strong voice.

This comes against the back of similar endorsement of both President Akufo Addo and Former President John Dramani Mahama, Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, NDC. A phenomenon that has been condemned by some political analysts.
