The Director of Communications for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region Peter Ayamga Ayinbisa is calling for public support for musician Atimbila.
The musician is among few creatives from the Upper East Region to have a national breakthrough.
He gained national attention in 2012 when he participated in the maiden edition of reality show MTN hitmaker.
He went ahead to feature big guns in the Ghanaian music industry like Sarkodie, now defunct music group Ruff N Smooth and Keche in songs that became popular nationwide.
However, he has not been in the best of shape in recent times, raising concerns about among music lovers.
In interview on State of Our Nation on Dreamz FM, Peter Ayinbisa, while expressing admiration for the musician and his craft, called for support to help him get back on his feet.
“I hear you play that Atimbila’s song almost everyday on your show and I love that guy so much and I love his music – very talented young man. Unfortunately, he has found himself in a situation that is not good.
I want to urge all of us to come together to see if there is a way we can support him get out of his current predicament. His music speaks about his spirituality. One cannot but love the young man,” he said of the musician.
