Ghanaian news anchor, Natalie Fort has resigned from television station, TV3 after 4 years of being with the media outlet.

Her resignation from the subsidiary of Media General took effect from Monday, April 5, 2021.

In a post on social media announcing her resignation and sighted by Dreamzfmonline, Ms. Fort, who is 25 years old, expressed gratitude to her former employers for offering her a platform to kick start her career in the media space. She also expressed gratitude to her former colleagues for their support through out her stay at TV3.

“As I resign from TV3 with effect from 5th April 2021, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Management of Media General for an incredible 4 years with the firm.

I am grateful for the platform to kickstart my Media journey, the opportunities granted me have been transformative; and to my colleagues I’m honoured to have learnt from such an experienced team. The memories will forever remain with me. I wish Media General the very best in the years ahead,” she stated in the post.

Natalie Fort joined TV3, one of the leading television stations in the country, in 2017. She became face of the media outlet anchoring major news bulletin including News 360.

In 2019, Ms. Fort sued some media entities for allegedly making defamatory publications about her. The media outlets had alleged in publications that the news anchor was forced to take a leave from her job at TV3 after an unexpected pregnancy from a supposed love affair with 4 married men including her colleague at TV3 and a prominent politician.

But Ms. Fort, in a statement denying the allegations, said her leave from her duties on TV was to further her education abroad and has nothing to do with a supposed unplanned pregnancy as claim by the reports.

She subsequently took legal action against the media outlets demanding removal of the publications, restraint from further publication and compensation for damages caused her by the said publication.

Some of the outlets later took down the publications and apologized to her.
