Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has advised married couples not to distress themselves trying to salvage their failed unions.
According to him, while it is important that couples strive to sustain their marriages, they should learn to walk out when they fail.
He argued that marriage is not a do or die affair and therefore, couples should not go the extra mile just to keep their marriages that have hit the rock.
“Marriage is also not a do or die affair. Try your best to make it work, if it doesn’t, it is not the end of the world. Wish each other well and move on,” he advised.
Yul also urged those dreaming of getting married to go ahead and not be discouraged by reports of failed ones as he said marriage is beautiful.
“Marriage is a beautiful thing. Don’t let anybody discourage you. If your dream is to get married, go ahead and achieve your dream”.
He, however, added that, “A few tips can help you have a long lasting marriage bur there’s no laid down proven formular to it”.
Yul Edochie has been in the news since last year over troubles in his marriage to his first wife after he picked a second one.
Recent reports say his first wife, May Edochie has filed an application at court seeking an annulment of their union while citing her co-wife for adultery.
