President John Dramani Mahama has made 10 new appointments to the Presidency.

The latest appointments are “aimed at Strengthening governance and enhancing operational efficiency” in accordance with “the President’s commitment to effective leadership and responsive administration,” a statement signed by Acting Spokesperson to the President and dated January 21, 2025 said.

The statement added that, “President Mahama expresses confidence that these appointees will bring their expertise and dedication to their respective roles, contributing to the progress and development of the nation”.

Appointees include Joyce Bawah Mogtari, who will serve as Presidential Adviser & Special Aide to the President, former Minister of Finance Seth Terkper as Presidential Adviser on the Economy, broadcast journalist Shamima Muslim as Deputy Presidential Spokesperson and former General-Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) Nana Yaa Jantuah as Presidential Staffer.

Stanislav Xoese Dogbe and Nana Oye Bampoe Addo have been appointed Deputy Chiefs of Staff for Operations and Administration respectively.

Others are Larry Gbevlo-Lartey, who has been appointed Special Envoy to the Alliance of Sahelian States, Professor Francis Dodoo Presidential Adviser, National Anti-Corruption Programme and Beatrice Annangfio Presidential Staffer.

Professor Kwaku Danso-Boafo has also been appointed Cabinet Secretary.
