The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has in an unconventional manner, ruthlessly taken a swipe at the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu.
General Mosquito, as he is affectionately called, did not miss any unkind word in describing Mr. Boadi as being a bipolar patient.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia said John Boadi’s allegation that he bused foreigners into the Bono region to be registered in the just ended voter registration exercise is an indication that he is suffering from bipolar condition and must therefore seek medical attention.
The NDC’S Chief scribe who said he is convinced that Mr.John Boadu is mentally unstable wants the media to pursue the matter of the registration of foreigners and expose mentally derailed politicians like his colleague in the opposing party “who are parading themselves as General Secretaries in this country.”
A clearly infuriated Asiedu Nketia said but for the insistence of the media, he had long resolved not to engage people like John Boadu who he said is a bipolar patient in any public discourse.
“You know I have long had a policy of not engaging people who are bipolar but for your insistence, I would not be responding to anything my Brother, John Boadu would be saying because it is very clear that he is displaying symptoms of bipolar personality,” he fumed.
He continued “what’swrong with him? Please, he must be sent to psychiatric hospital as early as possible for testing. There must be something really really wrong with John Boadu.”
Mr. Asiedu Nketia was responding to allegations leveled against him by Mr. Boadu at a press conference held in Accra on Monday August 10.
Mr. Boadu in his address at the Press conference had accused the NDC’S General Secretary of busing and facilitating the registration of the 66 Ivorians who were arrested by the security agencies for allegedly acquiring voter’s IDs in the just ended registration exercise of Ghana.
But Mr. Asiedu who dispelled the claims on Top Stories on Joy FM contended that it was the ruling party that facilitated the registration of the said Ivorian nationals. He claimed that his party team in the area had prevented the foreigners from registering but the NPP’s Bono regional executives insisted and got them registered. He added that his party’s intervention led to the arrest of the Ivorians and the coverage of the incident by the media.
