The National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Salam Mustapha has compared the track records of the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC’s) Vice-Presidential candidate Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as education minister to that of the NPP’s running-mate, who also served in same position.

He said whereas Mathew Opoku-Prempeh of the NPP spearheaded the implementation of remarkable policies, distinguishing himself when he served as minister of education, Naana Opoku-Agyemang took decisions that retarded progress and left the entire sector worse off.

“She was wicked to the youth of Ghana during her tenure as education minister. Her performance was abysmal as Education Minister as compared to the four years that Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh (Napo) was on that same seat. Napo was phenomenal as Education Minister and remains in the nation’s history as the one who implemented the Free SHS policy”.

Describing the NDC running-mate’s management of the country’s education as abysmal and insensitive, he mentioned the cancellation of allowances for trainee teachers and non-payment of arrears to newly employed teachers as some of the insensitive policies introduced under the leadership of Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.

This, he said, is an indication that the NDC and its ticket have nothing good to offer Ghana and are just seeking their selfish pursuit hence, should be rejected.

On the other hand, he said Mathew Opoku-Prempeh, has a proven record of excellence, having implemented the Free Senior High School policy.

While he believes the NDC ticket portends doom for the country if it is given the nod, he urged the electorates to elect the NPP and its flagbearer as he said they have in store life-changing ideas to help Ghanaians realize their dreams and aspirations.

“A vote for Bawumia and NAPO is a vote for the young people of Ghana. A Vote for John Mahama and Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang is a vote for their End of Service Benefits. The choice is yours and I know you will choose for your future”
