MR. ADONGO PRESENTING THE KEYS TO THE REGIONAL CHAIRMAN

Isaac Adongo, Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central Constituency in the Upper East Region, has donated 50 motorbikes to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the region.

The gesture forms part of efforts to help energize the party’s grassroots and galvanize support for the respective parliamentary candidates and the party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.

Out of the 50, 35 motorbikes will be sent to 7 constituencies in the region, where sitting MPs are not contesting this year’s election, while 15 will be given to branch executives in the Bolgatanga Central Constituency.

Beneficiary constituencies include Chiana-Paga, Zebila, Navrongo Central, Talensi, Bongo, Garu and Binduri.

Handing over the motors to the Regional Chairman of the NDC, Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba, Mr. Adongo stated that the essence of the donation is to encourage branch executives to work hard and secure victory.

The outspoken MP went ahead to appeal to the regional chairman of the party to work hard to secure all the 15 seats in the region for the party.

“There are 7 constituencies without the sitting MPs running for election and I am donating five motorbikes for each constituency which gives me 35 and I am donating a further 15 to support branch executives in my constituencies to make it 15. So, win all the 15 seats for us,” he entreated the party.

On his part, Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba also assured him of the party’s readiness to work hard to secure all 15 constituencies for the party.

“We want to thank the MP for Bolga Central for purchasing motors for constituencies, where the sitting MPs are not running again. We will also try our best possible and win all 15 constituencies. God willing if the party wins, come next year, they will give you a position to take care of us,” he added.
