The Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has denied reports that her convoy has been involved in an accident in the Western North Region.
Some news portals earlier reported that Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s convoy was involved in an accident in Sefwi Wiaso in the Western North Region in the evening of Friday, September 4, 2020. The said reports claimed that the accident occurred after a car among her convoy run into another as result of the dust nature of the roads.
But in a post on social media denying the reports, the NDC’s Vice Presidential candidate described the reports as ‘fake News’ and urged the general public to disregard them.
“My convoy has not been involved in an accident. Kindly ignore the fake news.”
While expressing her appreciation to the people of Western North Region for welcoming her into the region, she indicated that she and her team are doing well.
“My team and I are all fine and very thankful to the good people of the Western North Region for their warm and mammoth reception during this four day tour,” she stated in a post on social media.
Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang who is the running mate of John Dramani Mahama is on a four day tour of the Western North Region to canvass support for Mr. Mahama’s re-election bid. She had earlier touted the yet-to-be out doored NDC’s manifesto as the ‘will’ of the people.
Her boss, John Dramani Mahama is also touring the Upper West Region in a similar campaign for his return to the presidency.
