Founder of Fountain Gate Chapel Rev. Eastwood Anaba has unreservedly apologised for comments he made which were widely criticised and disapproved.
The revered man of God was caught in a media frenzy for asserting that persons who eat dog meat look and think like the dog.
This generated widespread condemnation and provoked criticism for what many have said was in bad taste and disrespectful to persons who consume dog meat.
However, Rev. Eastwood Anaba in a quick response has apologised for the assertion.
“Anybody who took offence for what I said, I’ll not even attempt to explain it or put it in context. The truth is, I could have said it better. I apologise to you. I want to assure you that am committed to my people and for those of you in the church that also felt offended and maybe even attacked you because of me, I apologise to you as your Pastor,” he said in a broadcast at the Desert Pastures in Bolgatanga.
Rev. Eastwood Anaba acknowledged the support of his congregants through thick and thin over the years and their commitment to the growth of the church while assuring that he will not engage in activities or comments that will provoke attacks on members of the church.
He continued that “I should bring you things that will make you excited and not things that will make people attack you”.
