The Parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party for the Bongo constituency in the Upper East Region Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga has said he will for the first time under the fourth republic win the seat for his party.
The NPP performed abysmally in 2016 falling below a first timer, George Afari of the Progressive People’s Party after fielding a candidate many believed was not strong enough to change the narrative of the party in the National Democratic Congress dominated constituency.
But speaking to dreamzfmonline.com, Mr. Ayinbisa noted that he is cruising towards victory on December 7.
“I am very hopeful, very clear in my mind there is no other obvious reason. Everything points to the fact that I am cruising towards victory. As I go round campaigning, wherever I went, the massive endorsement, the massive support that I am drawing from the various electorates point to the fact that no other person can win this election beyond Ayinbisa Peter,” he said.
He continued that “I have done everything possible and I am convinced that the Bongo people will come out in their numbers on 7th December to endorse me overwhelmingly and I am looking forward to that day”.
The NPP parliamentary candidate who doubles as the District Chief Executive faces stiff competition from the Parliamentary Candidate of the NDC, Edward Bawa, PPP’s George Afari and a one-time Bongo Constituency NPP chairmanship aspirant who defected to the Ghana Union Movement, Richard Akamah.
