President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reaffirmed his resolve to be judged by Ghanaians as an honest President who carried through his promises to the people.

The President who is on a tour of the Central region has been cutting sod for new projects while inspecting ongoing projects in the region.

Speaking in an interview on Cape Coast based ATL fm, President Nana Addo indicated his commitment to impacting positively on the lives of Ghanaians as promised prior to the 2016 elections.

According to him, seeking a second term in office is based on the sterling performance of his government in the first term and wish to judged by the Ghanaian people by his performance as President.

“When you are President, you are judged more by what you have done and not what you have said. In the most cases between the talk and the deed there is a big gap. I am hoping that Ghanaians understand by December in the case of this particular President, this particular political leader; the gap between what he said and what he has done is narrow and almost nonexistent. That my wish. I want to come across to the people of Ghana as an honest man. A man they can trust because of my performance,” he stated.

In the assertion of the President, virtually all promises made to the people of Ghana have been fulfilled and this he noted, presents another opportunity to secure the future for the people particularly in difficult times caused by COVID-19.

As part of his tour of the Central region, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Thursday, 20th August 2020, cut sod for the commencement of construction of the Elmina Fishing Port Project.
