Host of Good Evening Ghana on Metro TV, Paul Adom-Otchere has refuted widespread claims that he sat for professional law exams at the Ghana School of Law several times but could not pass to be called to the bar.
It has been bandied around town that the ace broadcaster’s dream of becoming a lawyer crashed after he failed on several occasions to make the pass mark in the Law School examinations.
This, his critics say, makes him unfit to speak on constitutional issues on his show and have called him out severally for claiming to analyze constitutional issues when he failed to pass examination on same course.
But Mr. Adom-Otchere has, over the years, remained silent on the issue. He, however, broke his silence and set the records straight last night when he put up a post on his social media handles wishing prospective law students well in their entrance examination today, August 24, 2021.
While wishing the prospective students the best of luck including members of his production team who are sitting for the examination, Mr. Adom-Otchere indicated that he had treated some topics with his production team members and reminded them of the topics, urging them to remember those topics as they sit for the examination.
But some social media users took issues with his post and questioned his locus for recommending topics for prospective law students when he could not pass same exams.
Responding to one of them, Mr. Adom-Otchere disclosed that he never sat for the professional law school exams hence, claims that he failed the examinations severally are untrue.
“I never wrote that exams. Shame!” he replied a social media user with the name “Obibinii Kwasi Agyemang on Facebook.
