District Chief Executive for Builsa South Daniel Kwame Gariba has indicated his intention not to seek reappointment after his tenure of office.
Kwame Gariba, who has been DCE for the area since 2017, said he intends to serve his people in a different capacity.
Speaking in an interview on Breakfast Today on Dreamz FM, the DCE stated that although he still has a lot to offer the district, there are many capable people within the party who should also be given the opportunity to lead the area at the local level.
He hopes to exit from his current position to the legislature and make way for fresh brains to takeover after the December polls.
“I wouldn’t want to become a District Chief Executive again. I’m very clear on that because I feel so. There are a number of people who also qualify to take the position of a District Chief Executive in the constituency,” he stated.
“I cannot continue to be the one occupying that seat as if we don’t competent to takeover. I will be in Parliament. I’m very positive about that that in exiting my position as DCE, God is putting me in another one”
Kwame Gariba is currently the parliamentary candidate of the NPP for the area for the upcoming elections.
He has been contesting the position since 2016 without success but is confident of making it this time around.
“I want to serve in another capacity as an MP in the legislature so that when Bawumia wins, someone else will takeover the DCE position, the two of us will complement each other and see what we can do more for Builsa South”.
