The Upper East Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaaba has said he speaks better English than the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party Bernard Antwi Bosiako popularly known as Chairman Wuntumi though he has not had formal education.
The two party chairmen have one common denominator and that is their deficiency in the queen’s language. Though the Ashanti NPP Regional Chairman has always boasted of attending the prestigious Prempeh College, his construction, diction and expression in the English language does not reflect his envious educational record.
Speaking in an interview on Bolgatanga based A1 Radio monitored by dreamzfmonline.com, Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaaba stated that he speaks English better than his colleague Chairman Wuntumi.
“I’ve not gone to school but Wuntumi says he went to Prempeh College but I can speak English better than him,” he said.
Until the past few years, Chairmanship position of political parties in Ghana have largely been occupied by financiers whose educational background does not matter.
Though there has been a shift in that setting in recent times, most Chairmen at all levels have deficiency in speaking the English language.
