ESTHER BEFORE AND AFTER THE SURGERY

You would recall the story of Esther, which was first brought to you in July 2024. Well, Esther has finally been taken through the corrective surgical procedure.

After her surgery in November, she has been getting recovery treatment at the regional hospital and later at a private facility in Pwalugu, where she resides. Her condition was intense to the point that she could only drink water using a straw and struggled to eat solid food.

Dreamz News, in the early days of July, reported about the plight of Esther, who in October 2022, was preparing porridge for her now two-year-old boy and had an epileptic attack that would later make her a pale shadow of her former self.

Esther was full of life and looked naturally stout, as her previous pictures show a young lady beaming with smiles.

She could no longer afford to look at her state in the mirror after the accident. She was virtually scared of her image. She sustained severe injury to her face, eyes, neck, and shoulder areas after the epileptic attack made her fall straight into a burning coal pot with boiling water.

Before she could be rescued, she had sustained serious damage to the upper part of her body.

She had her chin held to her chest, her left eye seriously injured, and a face and neck full of scars and this left her unable to raise her head or turn her neck as any person would do.

Before the surgery, Esther, who was diagnosed with multiple severe contractors (post burns) requiring specialist care, struggled to drink water and eat solid food.

The entire cost of the surgery was pegged at GH¢18,500.

Following the report, listeners of Dreamz  FM made contributions to the tune of GH¢5,229 with the Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central Constituency, Isaac Adongo later paying the entire amount for the surgery.

Her surgery was done in November 2024 at the Baptist Medical Center in Nalerigu.

While expressing her gratitude to all the individuals who donated, she disclosed that she feels better and can now drink water without the straw and eat solid food.

ESTHER ALANGDI BEFORE THE SURGERY

“I’m now better. I used to drink water using a straw and eating food was always difficult but by the grace of the almighty God, I can now drink water. I think all those who supported me. Our daddy, Isaac Adongo, God bless him for what he did for me.” She said with gratitude.

Cindy Akalose, one of two friends who have over the period been traveling and assisting Esther, equally expressed gratitude to all the individuals who supported her to get the needed care.
