YouTuber and content creator, Bernard Kwadwo Amoafo popularly known as Kwadwo Sheldon has described himself as a “true NPP guy”.
Speaking in an interview on State broadcaster, GTV, Kwadwo Sheldon said he publicly declared his support for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and at some point, campaigned for the party.
“I have declared my political stance on social media. I am a true NPP guy so at some point I did campaign for the New Patriotic Party (NPP),” he stated.
Asked whether his involvement in politics does not affect his work, the YouTuber answered in the negative. According to him, he does not mix politics with his work, adding that his political affiliation should not in any way affect his business.
He argued that each and everyone has a political preference and should not hold grudges against others because they do not support their choice.
He said, despite his support for the governing party, he has been a fierce critic of the government of President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
“Politics doesn’t affect my work. I own my platform, you don’t see NPP flags in my videos. If I want to do politics, I go out there and do it. I separate politics from my work. But I believe political neutrality is a myth. I’m going to go out there and tell you I’m NPP, you are supposed to accept that. You vote for a political party, I don’t fight you. I have my own and it is not like I don’t even bash them. I bash Nana Addo’s government than any other government. The political party I that support shouldn’t be a problem to you because you support someone”.
