Comedian, Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng better known as Funny Face has shared what he experienced after consuming toffee laced with marijuana known in local parlance as ‘wee toffee’.
Speaking in interview on the The Delay Show, the comedian said he was given the ‘wee toffee’ by one of his friends. And after consuming it, he became so delusional and lost touch with reality that he started hearing “voices” instructing him to go to the Kasoa Market in the Awutu Senya East Municipality and direct traffic.
Funny Face, who could not believe what he almost got himself into, said he has vowed never to do such drug again.
“(The only time I took wee was when) my friend gave me wee toffee and I have vowed never to take it again. You know what wee toffee did to me? After I took it, I heard voices telling me to go to Kasoa market and direct traffic. I’m like how? Is there a road in the market? Do cars pass through the market?”
He revealed this while disputing claims that his recent mental health crisis was a result of marijuana intake. Funny Face indicated that he is not a drug addict and that the only instance he did drugs was when his friend gave him the ‘wee’ toffee.
“My depression has nothing to do wee smoking. I wasn’t on drugs,” he stated.
Explaining the circumstances surrounding his health crisis, the comedian said he was so attached to his twins that their separation from him following his divorce with their mother, Vanessa got him depressed and mentally unstable.
