Songstress, Wendy Shay has hit back at critics of her performance at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
The RuffTown Record signee was bashed particularly on social media over her performance at the event held during the weekend, with many describing it as poor.
She was also chastised by industry players for using vulgar words during her performance on stage.
But hitting back in a post on social media, the Afropop singer said the criticisms against her are out of sheer hatred.
She argued that although her band had technical hitches, she strove and delivered a top notch performance hence, must be hailed and not condemned.
She urged music lovers and industry players in particular to humble themselves so that she can take the country’s music to the Grammys music awards.
“Obviously there was a technical hitch from my band…I pulled through with a Thrilling Top Notch performance at the just ended VGMAs. Vocals, Choreo, Costume, all on POINT! Yet we had some people still hating… So won’t you people humble yourself so I take you to the Grammys! Ghana wake up!” she wrote.
