The senior national team, the Black Stars’ chances of progressing to the next stage of the ongoing 2021 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations hang in the balance as they have conceded two goals to one in their make or break match against Comoros.
The Comorians took an early lead in the first half of the game, scoring in the 4th minute. They followed up with another goal in the second-half of the game, making it two goals with the Black Stars only managing to pull one back.
This puts the Ghanaians’ chances of making it into the next stage of the competition in limbo.
Aside conceding two goals in this crucial match, the Black Stars are down by a man as Captain of the side, Andre Ayew was sent out in the first-half of the game after receiving a red card.
The senior national team since the start of the tournament is yet to win a match. They were beaten in their first match against Morocco and drew with Gabon in their second match.
For them to progress to the next stage of the competition, they must win the match against Comoros which is currently underway.
