The Ghana Education Service (GES) has disclosed that about 151,266 out of a total of 494, 530 Junior High School graduates who are qualified for placement into Senior High Schools could not be placed through its Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS).

This, it explained, is because the said number of students could not be matched with any of the choices they made during the selection process for them to be automatically placed.

It has, therefore, asked such students to visit the CSSPS website; cssps.gov.gh with a placement pin code obtained from an accredited vendor for self-placement from the available schools on the website.

While assuring the affected students and guardians of a smooth self-placement process, it indicated that a student going through the process of self-placement is at liberty to change their choice of schools as many times as they wish until they are enrolled into a school.

“A total of 343,264 have automatically been placed in one of their choices. However, 151,266 qualified candidates could not be matched with any of their choices. All such students are therefore to do self-placement to select from available schools,” it said in a statement.

The remaining 343,264 students have, however, been successfully placed into Senior High Schools of their choices and could check their placement online from Sunday, February 28, 2021 as the CSSPS system is set to go live on same day, GES announced in a statement.
