The family of 3 year old Prospera Ayinpoka Akulka, popularly called Little Prospera’ have expressed their profound gratitude to the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo for his swift intervention in saving their daughter.
It would be recalled that, Little Prospera was diagnosed with a complex hole-In-Heart condition known in medical parlance as Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) by doctors at the National Cardiothoracic Center in May, 2022.
The entire cost of the surgery to correct the defect was pegged at 2,500.00 US Dollars which was at the time equivalent to GHc19,451.48, an amount Prospera’s Family couldn’t cough after spending so much to manage the condition for over three years.
Isaac Adongo responded positively to support the family and save the life of Little Prospera after Dreamz FM’s constant publicity of the ordeal of the 3 year old girl and the plight of her family.
This was after some individuals contributed some amount of money for Little Prospera to be transported to Kolebu Teaching Hospital, in the Greater Accra Region.
Mr Adongo paid for the cost of surgery and all other medical bills necessary to save little prospera.
On a citation presented to the MP, after Little Prospera’s successful medical treatment, the family indicated that, the Messiah has returned to the family in a human form to save their daughter.
It said, “We therefore sincerely appreciate your kind and swift intervention in saving the life of our daughter who was suffering from a hole-In-Heart.”
“As the birth of the biblical Isaac brought laughter to the family, you [Isaac Adongo] have replicated that by bringing smiles and laughter to the family of Tindaan-Kura house. May God plant many Isaac Adongos in Bolga and beyond”. – The citation read.
Little prospera who prior to her treatment panted for breath, looked weak and couldn’t crawl as children of her stage would do, gracefully, she now walks and breathes well as any healthy person does.
