Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nation Builders Corps (NaBCo), Dr. Ibrahim Anyars has indicated that the next government of president Akufo-Addo will implement more social intervention policies to elevate the living conditions of Ghanaians.
According to Dr. Anyars, social intervention policies and programs implemented by the Akufo-Addo’s government have led to the improvement of living standards of Ghanaians.
He hinted that government intend to implement more of such policies as a way of reducing poverty and empowering the ordinary Ghanaian citizen. He assured Ghanaians to expect more social intervention policies that will cushion them in the next government of president Akufo-Addo.
“During the 2020 campaign, I interacted with a lot of youth in my constituency. One thing was exact; the NPP government initiatives like Free SHS, NABCO, Planting for Food and Jobs, has helped raise the standard of living of many people. The next four years, Ghanaians should be hopeful for more social interventions,” Dr. Anyars stated.
Dr. Ibrahim Anyars who was defeated in the Tamale Central Constituency election by NDC’s Mutarla Mohammed is heading one of the much-touted social intervention initiatives of the Akufo-Addo’s government aimed at addressing graduate employment.
The initiative since its commencement has recruited about 100,000 graduates. This, the government touted, has drastically reduced graduate employment.
The government has also touted the impact of other flagship programs such as the Free Senior School Policy and the Planting for Food and Jobs program on Ghanaians as monumental.
The Free SHS, the government said, has offered hundreds of thousands of Junior High School graduates the opportunity to get SHS education and eased financial burdens on parents.
