In a thrilling friendly match held at Mobil Football Field in Bolgatanga, former players of Upper Stars outclassed former players of Young Mighty, beating them 6 goals to 3.
It was an event of nostalgia and display of speculator skills as the match reignited the rivalry between the two teams in their heyday in the 90s.
The match drew supporters from both sides, who cheered their respective teams during the match with the hope of their side carrying the day.
But it was Upper Stars, who had the chance to celebrate once again after scoring six goals to three against Young Mighty.
After the match, the players took time to reminisce about the old times and took pictures to create new memories and strengthen the unity that exists between them and to also advise each other on the need to keep playing some of these matches.
Upper Stars had the likes of magnet, zidan, Alora, West, Ayine, Jerry and host of other former players representing them while Mara, Enoch amongs other also showed up for Young Mighty.
Last year, the former players of Upper Stars contributed money to support the wife of Seaman, founder of the team.
Magnet of Upper Stars won the man of the match in this year’s friendly.
