Former President, John Dramani Mahama has stated that major infrastructural developments within the Bawku area were provided by previous governments of the National Democratic Congress.
Addressing party supporters at a campaign rally held in Bawku on Monday, the National Democratic Congress flagbearer stressed that all infrastructural developments in the various sectors especially education, health and agriculture were all gotten from an NDC government.
This he said draws a clear difference between the umbrella party and the New Patriotic Party, a party he said promises but never delivers.
“We have to choose between two things. One who promises but never delivers and one who promises and never fails. It is obvious who we will choose because everything we have here, from schools to water to roads to electricity to hospitals, we have got as result of the NDC administration,” he said.
He added that “Anytime the NPP is in office, we don’t see any development. It is only when the NDC comes that we see development in our districts. And so, we will vote for the NDC to come and continue the development projects that we started”.
The NDC flagbearer is on a two-day campaign tour of the Upper East region and has been holding rallies in selected districts in the region tagged as a strong hold for the party.
