Former Upper East Regional Minister, Prof. Ephraim Avea Nsoh believes the governing New Patriotic Party and its flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia do not stand the slightest chance of winning the 2024 elections.
Prof. Avea Nsoh argued that the NPP and its government have failed to live up to expectations and left many disappointed.
He recalled how the NPP , which was then in opposition, downplayed the strives by the then NDC government in addressing the developmental needs of the country and promised to do way better if they were given the opportunity.
But close to 8 years after they were given the mandate, he said, they have not only failed to live up to expectations but have also eroded the successes made under the erstwhile government.
This, for him, has left many disappointed and yearning for the return of the NDC.
He said but for the fact that the NDC want to explain its policy ideas to the electorates and solicit their inputs to fine-tune them, the party does not need to campaign to win the elections.
“There is no way NPP can win. Even if we just decide not to even campaign from now. It’s because there is a need for people understand that we have a manifesto, we policies and practical programmes that we are going to implement to make lives even better. Otherwise, we don’t need to actually campaign. The election is done deal for Mahama,” he stated on Breakfast News on Dreamz FM.
