I call him ‘The Kingmaker, The Editor of Editors and The Guiding Light of Shinning Lights in a Dark World’. The list… is endless. He will be working with multiple award-winning journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni who is the Head of The Fourth Estate.
Edward Adeti rose to prominence nationally after he accused former Upper East Regional Minister, Rockson Bukari and some officials of Chinese mining company, Shaanxi Mining Limited of bribing him with a motorbike and an amount of GH¢5,000 to shelve an investigative report in which he allegedly captured officials of the mining company in a video visiting a judge, who was presiding over a case in which the company was a party, an action the journalist considered unethical on the part of the judge.
Mr. Rockson Bukari, who was a Minister of State at the Presidency at the time, resigned from his position and the judge recused himself from the case. The judge was later exonerated of any wrong doing by a committee which was setup to probe the allegations of inducement leveled against him.
The officials of the mining company were put before court over the allegations but the court in 2020, discharged and acquitted them after it found no evidence implicating them.
