The Electoral Commission (EC) says it has addressed technical challenges that delayed the start of the limited voters registration exercise.
In a press statement signed by the Acting Director of Public Affairs of the Commission Michael Boadu, it said internet connectivity issues caused the delay in several registration centres but the problems have been resolved in most of the centres as at 12 pm.
The EC assured the public that the registration exercise is now proceeding smoothly in almost all registration centres nationwide.
It is, therefore, encouraging all qualified applicants to take advantage of the opportunity to register to vote in their respective districts.
“The Commission will continue to monitor the Registration Exercise and promptly address any issues that may arise,” the statement read.
