The governing New Patriotic Party has confirmed Dr. Mahama Tia Abdul-Kabiru as its parliamentary candidate for the Walewale Constituency.
The decision to settle on the 35-year-old PhD holder was taken at a National Executive Committee meeting held September 11, 2024.
It also comes barely 24 hours after the incumbent Member of Parliament, Hajia Lariba Zuweiratu Abudu pulled out of the race for the NPP parliamentary ticket.
